Durham Gilesgate Sports College and Sixth Form Centre is an 11- 18 school housed on two sites in Durham City. The main School at Gilesgate accommodates students aged 11 - 16 years, whilst post 16 students are catered for in the Sixth Form Centre on Providence Row. The School offers all the advantages of an 11- 18 school plus the bonus of seperate premises for older students where a more adult environment can be provided.

Progression from the Main School to the Sixth Form Centre is made naturally at 16 as the same teaching staff work on both sites. At Durham Gilesgate we hope that by active co-operation between home and school we will be able to play our part in achieving the optimum development of the children in our care
